In a bid to help enterprises deploy generative AI, Alibaba Cloud has released a serverless cost-efficient solution for AI model deployment and inference. Alibaba Cloud unveiled a serverless version of its Platform for AI (PAI)-Elastic Algorithm Service (EAS) during its inaugural AI & Big Data Summit in Singapore. The platform allows users to access computing resources as they need them, eliminating the need for physical or virtual servers. Users will also be billed only for the resources they use, resulting in a 50% reduction in inference costs. The company also integrated its vector engine technology into various product offerings to make it easier for enterprises to access large language models and build customised generative AI applications.
